St. John's and Friends
Book Club
All are welcome |
The next book selected to read and discuss
is The Cape Doctor by EJ Levy.
Margaret Ann Bulkley, born in Ireland circa
1789, adopted a male persona to become the
UK's first female-born doctor, taking the
name Dr. James Barry. Book will be discussed
at St. Peter's on May 22 during the Sunday School hour
beginning at 9:15 AM.
We will also select the next book to read
and discuss. Join us! |
Enter the Bible |
Luther Seminary has created a resource
called “Enter the Bible” to help people
understand scripture better. It breaks down
each book in the Bible and gives an overview
of its background and context.
It is free to
access and use. https://enterthebible.org/free-account-registration/. |
Gift Cards |
Just a reminder that gift cards, including
Giant and Shop Rite, are available at
in-person worship. A percentage of
each gift card sold benefits St. John's. |
Volunteers Needed at Hispanic Community
Center |
The
Hispanic Community Center on 4th Street,
Bethlehem, is in need of volunteers to help
distribute food on the 3rd Thursday and 3rd
Friday of the month. If you can help, please
contact Pastor Suzanne at St. John’s Windish
(610-868-3282). Thank you for sharing your
time. |
|
Do you have a family
member or friend who is
unable to attend in-church
worship, but would
welcome the opportunity
to share in the same
worship and sing the
same hymns as those
members in church? There
still are a few
"Bringing it Home"
tablets available and
learning how to use them
is easy. Please
call the church office
if you
know anyone who would
benefit from a Bringing
It Home device. |
